ポルシェ964ターボが、ガソリン漏れの修理で入庫しました。
点検の結果、フューエルポンプのホースに穴が開いていることが判明しました。燃料の漏れは火災にもつながりかねない危険なトラブルですので、早速修理に取りかかりました。
964ターボのエンジンルームは非常にタイトで、燃料系の作業にはインタークーラーの取り外しが必要です。インタークーラーを外し、フューエルパイプを交換しました。
あわせて、エンジンオイルとオイルフィルターの交換、インタークーラーのウエストゲートセンサーの交換、ブレーキフルードの交換も実施しています。
なお点検では、パワーステアリングポンプからのオイル漏れも見つかりました。こちらはポンプのシールを交換して修理を進めています。その様子は、また改めてご紹介します。
空冷ポルシェはゴムホース類の経年劣化が進んでいる個体が多くなっています。「ガソリンの臭いがする」「駐車場にシミができる」といった症状があれば、早めの点検をおすすめします。

A Porsche 964 Turbo came in for a fuel leak repair.
Our inspection found a hole in the fuel pump hose. A fuel leak is a serious fire risk, so we started the repair right away.
The 964 Turbo’s engine bay is extremely tight, and reaching the fuel system requires removing the intercooler. With the intercooler off, we replaced the fuel pipe.
While we were at it, we also changed the engine oil and oil filter, replaced the intercooler wastegate sensor, and renewed the brake fluid.
The inspection also revealed an oil leak from the power steering pump. We are repairing it by replacing the pump seals — we will share that story in a future post.
On air-cooled Porsches, rubber hoses are now well past their prime on many cars. If you notice a fuel smell or spots under the car, we recommend having it inspected sooner rather than later.
